Adishm Bungalow is a yet another destination for tourists whom are visiting to Sri Lanka. It is also named as St. Benedict’s monastery. Adishm Bungalow is situated in just 2 km Haputale town; Sri Lanka. It was built by British noble man and a planter Sir. Thomas Lister Villiers, a British governor in 1931.

Referring to the records it took 4 years to complete the full monastery. Sir Thomas Villiars came to Sri lanka in 1887. He was a grandson of Lord John Russel – PM of Britain at that time. First he was trainee planter at Elbedde estate, Bogawantalawa. He married a daughter of a tea planter. Since she was a skillful painter she decorated the library and dining room of Adishm with her paintings.

The colonial Dambatenne Tea factory is located in the eastern part of Haputale town, Sri Lanka. The factory has earned a reputation among the travelers and tourists as a place to be toured where they can learn about the tea making process. It is just 11 km from Haputale to the preferred destination.

It covers a broad valley ringed with steep sierra. The dambetena estate extends to 2500 acres while providing residencies for 4600 population. So far approximately 1300 of them are workers. This long white factory was built by Sir Thomas Lipton. It is located in a beautiful tea state through the Dambatenne Tea factory.

If you wanted to go to the top of the water fall you will have to follow a road begins from a small rubber factory by the side of the road. Few rock pools and smaller waterfalls can be seen above the Diyaluma water fall. They can be visited within 30-40 minutes.

Lipton’s seat is one of the attractive observation points of Sri Lankan Tourism. It is located on the top of the Poonagala hill near the Dambetenna tea factory in Poonagala, Sri lanka. The place gets this name after the famous tea planter Sir Thomas Lipton used this place to survey the surrounding region of his tea plantations.

To reach the place you have to climb about 7 km through rich tea plantations. Some parts of the roads are still not repaired since British built them. Therefore the original stone constructions are abided. From the Lipton’s view you can entertain and have a conspicuous view of the Uva, Sabaragamuwa, Central and Eastern provinces including 7 districts.

By the way the correct name for Rawana ella is supposed to be is Bambaragma Ella. The forming part of the Ravana ella is a wild life sanctuary.
